To introduce and accompany the Symposium "Forms and processes in artistic practices within digital culture" that will take place in Montpellier, Centre Rabelais, 26 & 27 November 2012, of the School of Fine Arts of Montpellier - in partnership with, which celebrates its 5th year anniversary - have invited artists and researchers from around the world to stage a self-growing online show, the Projet Octopus.

Based on an initial idea by Nicolas Frespech, the show finally unfolds in two phases. Participating artists and researchers are asked to answer a list of questions. Once completed and forwarded, these forms determine the artworks shown and serve as the exhibition catalog. Shared externalization distributed existence. On an googlemap.
